I find this guy's loadout amazing. The variety of equipment, the field-expedient solutions to certain problems that many companies make a lot of money off of marketing 'solutions' for... the character is just fascinating. And taping the MP3 player on the vest is just all kinds of outstanding. Gotta have the correct tunes to amp up that firefight.
Hey Pavel man, how you doing? Trying to make it interesting, in jerry rigging up his gear which way he can. Im sure a civvy would make things work as best as they can, without much use in tactical vests to hold stuff. Like you said, a company would charge an arm and a leg for a 'tactical hydration retention system', where as a water bottle would be....cheaper. The word 'tactical' is rather over marketed these days.
I'm doing alright mate, studying two languages (Russian and Dutch) and generally trying to survive working and going to university simultaneously. See, while a "tactical three point sling" is all well and good, some 550 cord and a bit of black nasty generally work just as well. I like the old Soviet AKM sling; I put it out to maximum length and then sling it over my left shoulder. It's a "tactical" sling in that I can transition immediately to sidearm and back again... but it's cheap. And Soviet. This guy's gear has inspired me to tape an MP3 player to the shoulder-strap of my EGER.
How's it been with you? This is the first piece I've seen from you in some time, so I had concluded you were busy earlier.
